Who is Colm Clinton anyway?

Well most who know me would say I’m a bit of a funny bugger. Of course I’m Irish so I’m always looking for good craic. But I am also one of Australia’s first ever Master Glaziers with over 20 years industry experience and what I have learnt during my time as a sole trader, small business owner, general manager and more recently industry consultant is what I want to share here at www.colmclinton.com.au.

I am also an author with my soon to be published book ‘Give me a break’ The Independent Glazier’s handbook to smashing it in the glass industry.

But I like to think of myself as a champion for the sole traders who work bloody hard and find it difficult to get ahead because it’s no longer good enough to be great at your trade. You also need to be great at marketing, debt collecting, paperwork not to mention tech savvy and industry savvy.

It can be so damn frustrating! Because what really matters in life is the time you spend with your family and friends not the time you spend juggling phone calls and paperwork.
